Me as a programmer

I'm a novice programmer willing to learn and make simple and fun games, I learnt everything by my own, thanks to the internet, and hope you could follow me in this journey. If you want to learn more about me as a programmer, continue reading this article.

I got interested in programming since I was 16 years old, and started to learn C++ thanks to a very helpful page, I was excited because I wanted to make my own game, but I didn't like those programs like GameMaker.

Once I finished reading all those articles bout C++ and others about graphic libraries, I began to write my first game ever, a simple Tic Tac Toe with AI (it took me like one week to finish it), it was very cool and I learnt a lot, but I had forgotten about programming for 2 years (school and other stuff).

2 years later, a friend of mine told me about Unity and some useful tutorials about doing simple Android games with it, so I got interested in this topic again.

While I was learning to use Unity, I had a nice idea about a game and opened a new project. It was about moving two balls at once with different fingers to avoid obstacles, a simple concept, but looked like something fun and addictive, it fits perfectly well for an Android game.

Unity answers and its community were really helpful, as I didn't have any idea on how to use its classes.

That way Grabda Balls was born, at first it wasn't two balls with Tron-like visuals, it was oranges and wood planks and wasn't even mine (I would change them anyway).

Once I got something that seemed to work, I opened Photoshop and tried to to some simple shapes with simple colors to define the graphic's style (I'm not an artist, but I do my best).

First attempt of a ball
I didn't see those first attempts very satisfying, so I opened Google Images and searched for some inspiration, then I saw some images about Tron, Eureka!

Then I just had to make some adjusts to the game (trial and error) and published it to Google Play. It had very good comments and some suggestions which I took notes about and made some patches.

Now I'm here, working on a new project I hope I could talk about very soon. Stay tuned guys.
